Bohemian Baby!
One of the BEST things about our job is that we get to watch families grow over the years. We say it all the time because it's truly mind-blowing to us that so many families choose to come back and see us time and time again. We're incredibly grateful to our clients for putting their trust in us to capture such important memories for them and we never take it for granted!
Annalise is one of those special clients. We met her when we did her maternity session last year. She was one of those glowing mama's and had a cool look with her piercings and tattoos; we loved her session!!
Baby Mia was born in August and came in for her newborn session within a few days. She was so adorable and gave us the cutest smile at one point. :)
We couldn't believe it when Anna reached out to us to plan Mia's cake smash session for her first birthday. We're always so busy we never realize how fast time is flying until we're contacted by a client for their next session (which totally makes us feel really old each time too by the way! LOL). She told us she wanted to celebrate her tattoos with some Mommy & Me photos in her session as well as a simple bohemian style look for her cake smash. We love highlighting our clients uniqueness and haven't had anyone request a bohemian look yet so we were stoked!! We even ordered a special cake topper from Max & Peeks Boutique to complete the look. :)
Mia and Anna arrived for their session and she showed us everything she had brought for her shoot. The details were perfect, from their matching "inked mama" outfits and lavender Converse shoes to the bandana she wanted to incorporate that belonged to her late uncle who was a biker. I decided to fold the bandana and tie it around Mia's head which turned out to look SO cute!
Mia & Anna danced and played around to the song from Trolls for a few minutes before changing Mia into her cake smash outfit. She was so curious although I think she was more interested in the flowers around her cake than the actual cake! Her little toe sandals were such an adorable addition to her outfit too. She has gorgeous blue eyes, we can't wait to see what she looks like as she continues to grow up!!
